A Traveller's Guide Through The Looking-Glass 2024
Typography / Typeface design
A Traveller’s Guide Through the Looking-Glass is a collaborative editorial design project. For the brief we were tasked, as a group, to interpret the text from Alice Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll, into a book targeted for adults.
Our interpretation of the text, lead us to create a professional and mature Travel guide, featuring many of the locations that Alice visits throughout Looking-Glass land. To retain the soul of the original text, I handwrote observation notes next to illustrations, to make it seem like the travel guide is Alice’s own.
My role within the group was to develop a sophisticated and clean sans serif typeface for the headings, as well as to choose a partner font for the body text that was accessible and communicated the correct tone to the reader.
During this group project I communicated and received feedback from my art director, in addition to working with our layout designer to ensure that the typography suited and fit the dimensions of the pages.
Project created using Adobe Creative Cloud services.
